 Project Grants

Ovens Flagship Project

The UOVLG currently has funding for the Ovens Buckland Confluence project through NECMA, as part of the Ovens Flagship Project. The funding allowed us to purchase 2500 plants and tall guards to plant on the south bank. NECMA directly funded the weed control work. This planting has just been completed.

This complimented a Biodiversity Onground Action grant from DELWP completed last year to do the same on the north side. This has amounted to over $50,000 invested by UOVLG in this area planning 5000 plants, with NECMA investing more in weed control.

Victorian Landcare Grant

The UOVLG had a small maintenance Grant through NECMA to assist with group administration.

More recent grants have included:

  • DELWP Biodiversity Onground Action for weed control and planting at the Ovens/Buckland confluence and Riparian brochure production.

  • National Landcare Program for weed control and Deer control trials at German Creek;

  • Landcare Victoria Program for community activities and revegetation near German Creek.

  • NECMA and Alpine Shire for our Environment Plan.

  • DELWP for GIS training.

These have all been completed
